Emmy's First Videos - Days 2 and 3

This is June Bug's father speaking. I never thought a 7 lb little girl could completely change my life in a day but she did. I love her and I hope I will be the parent she needs me to be. We are having a good time but going on nothing but love because we damn sure haven't had any sleep.
Check out the videos!!!!

Emerson June's Arrival

What a pretty little girl that arrived on May 22nd, 2008 at 6:40 p.m. She came into this world at 7 lbs 9 ounces and 19 inches long. We are so happy and excited to take care of Emmy and make her the best home we can. Thanks for everyone's support so far and we will keep you updated on our daughter!

Preparing for Baby Emerson's Arrival

The countdown is on! Just 25 more days until little Emerson is due to grace us with her presence. I cannot wait, and I know Drew is equally as eager for several reasons -- the complaining of pregnancy issues will come to a halt, the obsession will finally stop over which diaper rash cream is most suitable or when the best time to pack "the bag" is or what to put in "the bag" or when we should install the car seat bases and just how many 0-3 month onsies do we really need...the preparation seems to never stop! But we're loving every minute of it.

Emmy's nursery is also complete (see below pics)! We wanted a peaceful place for her to rest (yes, we pray she'll do plenty of that), and something she could grow into. Drew has lovingly named it the "super nursery", as we gave up our big room so there would be plenty of room for her toys, clothes, etc. My mom did a beautiful job on the murals, and her 2 oil paintings that were relocated to the nursery fit in just perfectly.

We'll be sure to update everyone as we learn more at our weekly doctor appointments which now occur every Wednesday until she arrives.

We can't wait to meet our daughter and while we don't yet know the in's and out's of her personality and what she'll physically look like, in a strange way our anticipation and predictions about what we think she'll be like have made us grow very close to her already. The prospect of parenting is scary and invigorating at the same time. I'm really looking forward to seeing Drew interact with our daughter -- I know he'll be the best father in the world (anyone who has seen him with our other girls, the Aussie pups, would have to agree). We're looking forward to introducing Emerson to the world!
