Almost 2 weeks old...

So, lots has happened these last (almost) 2 weeks. We're all adjusting to life with our new bundle of joy quite nicely. And let's see, what else? Emmy's button has already fallen off, she's visited the pediatrician twice (which she wasn't too fond of), she had her first photo shoot with Sean Randall at just 4 days old (I'll hopefully have proofs to share soon), she's slept some good nights (and had some not so good ones), and she's made some really funny faces in her sleep (it doesn't take much to entertain Drew and I these days).

We've also noticed she has at least one pronounced dimple on her right cheek, which she gets honestly from her Daddy and Grandpoopah (I'm not kidding about the grandfather name). See the one photo below of the 3 of them.

My mom, whose grandmother name is still TBD, left this past weekend. She was such a big help, both in a practical and emtional sense. I really miss having her here.

We've been working to get the webcam set up so that Drew's parents in Ireland can actually see the little peanut in action. Mimi and Papa will be home the end of June for a visit.

My dad and stepmom are visiting this coming Sunday. Grandpa hasn't seen her since the hospital, so I know he's excited!

We've had lots of visitors, and the company has been wonderful. Drew and I are more than ok with the fact that they aren't really here to see us - they're here to see EJ! As far as our days go, Emmy and I do our best to get out for walks, to run errands, etc. So far she's a really good baby.

See below some newer pics of our precious June Bug...

Despite the fact that I loved the new photos of Emmy (LOVED THEM), my favorite in your Flickr stream is the one of Drew running down the hall in the hospital. I don't think I've ever seen Drew look happier, prouder, or more excited.

We're thinking of you and sending good vibes your way! Thank you for these beautiful updates.

Carrie

p.s. I loved Emmy in the plum-colored outfit! Thanks for posting that one.
